I started writing our blogs this summer, and I’m so happy to be finishing out 2016 with the MaxHOA community. This year has been one for the books, and we’ve taken part in talking about some of the biggest current affairs events of the year, with an HOA and neighborhood twist.

This summer we blogged about the medical epidemic of the year, the Zika Virus, and how property managers can be proactive in keeping it from spreading.

We also talked about that other epidemic, which some of you may still be suffering from: Pokemon Go.

The Kansas City Star did a long series on HOA horror stories, and we used those stories as a way to better understand what issues are affecting HOA and community association residents.

A certain wall has been a major discussion point of 2016, we talked about a wall too, just a different one.

Hurricane Matthew was one of the many downsides of 2016, and we blogged about floods and property damage and what HOAs can do to prepare.

With the election year also comes local elections, and we talked about the attempt at the ban on Short-term Vacation rentals within San Diego’s City Council.

We shared congratulations for the Chicago Cubs historic World Series Win

To end the year, we talked charitable giving from HOAs as part of #GivingTuesday

No matter what 2017 brings our way, we look forward to bringing our audience interesting, timely, and original content. Thanks for reading, and we wish you a Happy New Year. Be kind to your neighbors, and if you plan on making a lot of noise, make sure you bring champagne and poppers for your neighbors too.
